GRWE

Greyhound Rescue West of England (GRWE) is the leading independent greyhound rescue charity in England & Wales, dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of abused and abandoned greyhounds and greyhound crosses. From humble beginnings the charity now rehomes almost 500 of these special dogs every year. GRWE takes in greyhounds and greyhound crosses from members of the public, veterinary surgeries, dog wardens and the police. We also help trainers and owners rehome their racing greyhounds and dogs also come to us from general rescue centres. Some greyhounds also come from as far afield as Wales, Scotland and Ireland if resources allow.

If you are interested in offering one of our dogs a loving, secure home for life then please get in touch to arrange a homevisit. Our main areas of operation are Hertfordshire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Gloucestershire, Shropshire, Cheshire, Lancashire, Somerset, Dorset, Devon and Cornwall, and with representation as far east as Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Hampshire. All homes will be visited by one of our volunteer homecheckers to discuss your requirements so that we are better able to match you with a sutiable hound.

To see many more of our dogs waiting for their homes visit GRWE

We have a number of special dogs, some of which require on-going medical treatment, and all of whom need extra care and attention. It costs just 15 a year to sponsor one of them and in return you will receive a certificate and photo of your chosen dog, as well as updates on his or her progress.

The great news is that you can now sponsor any or all of these dogs using your credit or debit card via our online shop!
